Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has said Nigeria’s next president ahead of the 2027 general elections has already been determined by God.

Speaking during a workers’ meeting at Redemption City, Adeboye stated that the outcome of the election ultimately lies beyond human control.
According to him, “the next president has already been decided by God who owns the universe,” adding that the divine will would prevail regardless of political activities. He urged Nigerians not to be anxious about unfolding political developments.
While encouraging citizens to participate in the democratic process, the cleric emphasized that divine authority remains supreme in determining leadership. He called on Nigerians to remain prayerful and peaceful as the 2027 elections approach.
Adeboye also responded to comments by activist Omoyele Sowore, who referred to him and other clerics as “fathers of Christians in Nigeria.” The pastor rejected the description, clarifying that his spiritual leadership is limited to his denomination.
He added that national Christian leadership is represented by the Christian Association of Nigeria, whose president speaks on behalf of Christians across the country.
