The University of Lagos will graduate 16, 506 students with the best graduating student having a perfect cumulative grade point average of 5.0 at its 56th Convocation ceremony.
The student is Chukwuzubelu Benedict Umeozo from the Department of Business Administration.
According to the breakdown, a total of One Thousand, Two Hundred and Eleven (1,211) students will bag first class and distinction categories of degrees at the 56th Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Lagos.

During the briefing, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, Vice Chancellor of the University said that the convocation would start on Friday, January 16, with a Jumaat service and ends on Sunday, January 25, 2025, with a thanksgiving service.
Other Convocation activities will feature a convocation lecture titled ‘Maximising Nigeria’s demographic dividend through urgent education reform for global competitiveness in the 21st Century’, by Mr. Orondaam Otto, founder of Slum2School Africa and will be chaired by Professor Rahman Bello, the 11th Vice Chancellor of the University.
The university will also confer honorary doctorates on Mr. Jubril Adewale Tinubu and Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN), former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).
