LASU’s to give N500,000 to best graduating Students, award eight eminent Nigerians Doctorate Degrees

The Lagos State University, Ojo, has said that
its best-graduating student, Imoitesemeh Yusuf, of the Department of Law who graduated with a CGPA of 5.00(First Class Honours) will receive the sum of N500, 000.00.

Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello,Vice Chancellor, made this known on Wednesday during the convocation press conference.

She announced that the convocation would also witness the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the institution, which was founded in 1983.

Olatunji-Bello added that the 2020/2021 academic session’s best graduating student was Divine Lopez of the department of Physiology, Lagos State University College of Medicine with a CGPA of 4.91(First Class Honours).

She revealed that the convocation lecture, titled, ‘The impact of digitisation on higher education in the digital age,’ would take place on June 20, 2023, and be delivered by the Executive Secretary, Trust Fund, Mr Sonny Echono.

She mentioned that eight eminent Nigerians would be awarded doctorate degrees.

They are former Governor Babatunde Fashola, Oba Alayeluwa Ademola Elegushi, Dr Daniel Olukoya, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Chief of Staff, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, Oba Suleiman Ashade and Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.
