NELFUND Opens Student Loan Applications for 36 State Tertiary Institutions

In a significant development, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that students enrolled in 36 state-owned tertiary institutions can now apply for student loans, effective July 7, 2024.

According to a statement by NELFUND, the management of these institutions have successfully submitted their student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS), paving the way for their students to benefit from the loan scheme.

The list of eligible institutions includes universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across various states in Nigeria. Students from these institutions can now apply for the loan to support their educational pursuits.

The announcement is a welcome development for students who have been seeking financial assistance to pursue their higher education goals. NELFUND’s initiative is expected to ease the financial burden on students and their families, enabling them to focus on their academic pursuits.
