Youths Begin Hunger Protest In Niger State

Youths in Niger State have taken to the streets to protest against the hardship in the country.

The protesters were seen with placards captioned as ‘Enough is Enough,’ ‘Stop Anti-Masses Policies,’ ‘We Are Not Slaves In Our Country,’ ‘Hardship Is Unbearable,’ and ‘Fuel Subsidy Must Be Back’.

They marched through the Abuja-Kaduna expressway in Suleja Local Government Area of the state chanting anti-government songs to express their frustration.

It was understood that the nationwide protest was slated to hold between August 1 to 10 to seek end to hardship and misgovernance in the country.

This protest reflects the growing dissatisfaction among citizens over the economic policies that they believe are worsening their living conditions.
