The operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have prevented an attempt by a man with bags of money to induce voters in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State.
The DSS officers thwarted the attempt with the arrest of a suspected vote-buyer in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
The suspect was apprehended with a Toyota Car with plate number AAA- 607-GN at about 9 a.m. at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007 outside St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure.The suspected vote-buyer was nabbed with two bags of money and cutlass which are suspected to be for the inducement of voters in the gubernatorial election.
