ADO-EKITI– Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has said that the University of Lagos,(UNILAG) played a key role in his life saying he passed through UNILAG and the school also passed through him.
He made the disclosure during a courtesy visit by University of Lagos Alumni Association led by Dr. Oluwatosin Olowojebutu to Government office in Ado-Ekiti today.
Fayemi expressed appreciation to the association for deeming it fit to visit him and appreciate the good work his administration is doing out of the four Governors in South West produced by UNILAG.
Fayemi said he mentioned in the 2017 Convocation lecture he delivered that UNILAG made him and he will always be grateful for that adding that he served in various capacities while in UNILAG as a student leader which later prepared him for the various leadership role he is holding today.
The Governor also commended Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe for the various uplift in the institution saying various private sector partnerships he had embarked upon is today yielding results.
Dr. Oluwatosin Olowojebutu while addressing the Governor and members of his cabinet said that he has come with his executives and stakeholders to identify with the great work the governor is doing and for making the institution proud.
Olowojebutu further appreciated the Governor for his stand and support to the UNILAG brand while he used the opportunity to present a beautiful portrait of the Governor.
In the Governor’s entourage was Dr Sikiru Eniola,Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical Education,Dr Sunday Aniyi,Principal Private Secretary to the Governor,Honourable Folorunsho Daramola,Special Adviser, Governors office and Mr. Akin Rotimi,Special Adviser to the Governor on Communications.
The high powered UNILAG Lagos Alumni include: Mr Segun Adeleke, Vice Chairman 1,Dr. Priscilla Etokpia,Welfare Secretary, Mr.Taored Salvador,Treasurer, Mr Kunle Onikoyi,Public Relations Officer,Dr. Oloyede Micheal,Deputy Dean of Students Affairs and others.
