Baze University has announced the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor and Registrar following what it described as a rigorous and competitive selection process.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder of the institution, Datti Baba-Ahmed, approved the appointments on behalf of the board.
According to a statement issued by the university management on Tuesday, Abiodun Adeniyi was appointed Vice-Chancellor with effect from May 6, 2026.
Similarly, Ahmad Mahmoud Lawi was appointed Registrar of the university with effect from the same date.
Before his appointment, Adeniyi served as the Registrar of the university, while Lawi was the institution’s Director of Human Resources.
The university described Adeniyi as a distinguished scholar of Communication and Media Epistemology, noting that both appointees have spent more than a decade serving the institution with dedication, professionalism, and loyalty.
The Board of Trustees expressed confidence in the ability of the new principal officers to provide effective leadership, strengthen the university’s academic standing, and improve administrative excellence.
According to the statement, the appointments reflect the institution’s commitment to continuity, merit-based leadership, and sustained growth.
The university community also congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor and Registrar and urged staff and stakeholders to support them as they assume their new responsibilities.
