Argentina came from behind to defeat England 2-1 in a dramatic finish at Atlanta Stadium, booking their place in the World Cup final with two late goals.

England struck first through Anthony Gordon in the 55th minute, catching Argentina on the break to give the Three Lions a 1-0 lead. For 30 minutes it looked like Southgate’s side would hold on.
Argentina dominated possession with 64% and fired 14 shots to England’s 6. The pressure finally told in the 85th minute when Enzo Fernández smashed home the equalizer to make it 1-1.
Argentina weren’t done. Deep into stoppage time, Lautaro Martínez headed home the winner in the 90+2’ minute to send the Albiceleste to the final and break English hearts.
