The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says there was no fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

This was disclosed In an update to its earlier advisory, Henry Agbebire, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, explained that the smoke observed within the terminal resulted from the discharge of the FM-200 fire suppression system.
According to FAAN, the reason for the activation of the system is currently being investigated.
The authority confirmed that normal operations have resumed at the terminal, while detailed investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
