Sani Muhammad Hotoro popularly known as Dan Sani a former aide to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reportedly died in a road accident involving a trailer.

Dan Sani, who served as the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Cooperative Groups, was said to have been killed alongside one of his workers in the crash on Thursday.
The accident occurred along the Hotoro Eastern Bypass, near Gade-Gade Filling Station in Kano.
Sources said the two victims were trapped underneath the trailer and died at the scene.
A passer-by, who identified himself as a Keke Napep rider, told DAILY POST that he went to the scene shortly after the crash.
“I went to look, I saw two people under the tyres, parts of their bodies were already out, I couldn’t tell which part,” he said.
The situation reportedly became tense after the accident, as youths in the area allegedly armed themselves and demanded access to the trailer with a view to setting it ablaze.
Police officers subsequently arrived at the scene and took control of the area to prevent further escalation and restore calm.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were still unclear as of the time of filing this report.
Dan Sani was a prominent figure in the Kano State Government, having served as Governor Yusuf’s Senior Special Assistant on Cooperative Groups.
However, the death had not been officially confirmed by the deceased’s family, the police or the Kano State Government as of press time.
