President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to vote for him for a second term in office in the January 16, 2027 presidential election, calling on supporters to also elect candidates of the All Progressives Congress across all levels of government.

Tinubu made the appeal during the APC presidential campaign flag-off, where he urged supporters who possessed Permanent Voter Cards to turn out massively on election day.

Addressing the crowd, the President dismissed hunger and anger as reasons for opposition criticism, describing his administration’s priorities as prosperity, consistency, growth, economic recovery and opportunity.

“This is not a matter of hunger, this is not a matter of anger either. Our opponents are angry because they are failures. They have nothing to offer you but heckling. We have prosperity, consistency, growth, recovery, and opportunity,” he said.

Tinubu thanked supporters for their turnout and expressed confidence in their participation in the forthcoming election.

“I assure you. Thank you for this massive showing up,” he said.

The President urged Nigerians to vote for him again on January 16, 2027, saying, “You must go out massively to elect me again.”

He also called for votes for APC candidates contesting governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and state House of Assembly elections.

“APC all the way. APC for our governors. APC for our senators. APC for our honourable members of the House of Representatives and all Houses of Assembly,” Tinubu said.

He concluded by urging voters to recognise the importance of their participation in determining the country’s leadership, saying their prosperity and future were in their hands and that their choices would be reflected in the ballot.
