CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi,Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, has conducted an operational tour of border communities in Bwari Area Council, leading to the arrest of three suspected kidnappers linked to multiple abduction incidents.

The tour, carried out on April 8, 2026, covered Gidandogo, Garam, and Kungabako villages located along the boundaries of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, and Kaduna states. It was aimed at assessing and strengthening security deployments in the area.
The statement was issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, in Abuja.
During the operation, the police boss personally led targeted raids that resulted in the arrest of the suspects identified as Nasiru Abdullahi, Samaila Dahiru, and Bello Usman.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Abdullahi and Dahiru, both from Kweri village in Kaduna State, were allegedly responsible for the abduction of a farmer, Mallam Bako, from his farmland in Gushawai village on the same day. The victim was reportedly taken to Kweri forest, where a ransom of N50 million was demanded before he was rescued by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command.
Police further disclosed that the suspects were part of a gang involved in the earlier abduction of about 20 persons in Byazhin community.
The third suspect, Bello Usman, also known as Dagejo, was described as a notorious informant and logistics supplier who had been on the police watchlist for two years. Authorities said he coordinated with bandits operating from Kaduna State to facilitate criminal activities within the FCT.
Upon his arrest, one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and 12 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from him.
Sanusi reassured residents of the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
The police also provided emergency contact lines for residents to reach the command in case of distress or security concerns.
