Delta state police command in clearance of criminal hideouts has arrested 81 suspects in major black spots in Asaba metropolis, Delta State.

Edafe Bright, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of Delta State Command in a statement on Saturday attributed the arrest to the efforts of the command to rid the state of criminal elements.

The operation was led by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, alongside tactical teams of the state police command.
The enforcement exercise also resulted in the impoundment of five vehicles, as well as large quantities of illicit drugs, such as Tramadol and substances suspected to be Indian hemp at the Asaba/Onitsha head Bridge
The Delta police commissioner CP Yemi Oyeniyi reaffirmed the unwavering commitment to intelligence-led policing and proactive crime prevention.
He warned individuals involved in criminal activities to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
