President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned visit to Iperu, Ogun State, and will instead travel to Jos to commiserate with victims of recent attacks in Plateau State.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The President was initially scheduled to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport but altered his itinerary to pay respects to the government and people of Plateau State following the killing of innocent citizens in recent gunmen attacks.

After the condolence visit, Tinubu is expected to proceed to Lagos State to observe the Good Friday holiday.

According to the revised schedule, the President will travel to Ogun State on Saturday, April 4, to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at boosting import and export activities in the state.

During the visit, he will also commission the new Federal Operations Unit facility of the Nigerian Customs Service along with its operational vehicles.

Tinubu will subsequently return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is expected to inaugurate key infrastructure projects executed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a multi-agency complex named after the President, and a school complex.

As part of his itinerary, the President will also visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri before returning to Abuja.
