The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has said that the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun has embarked on various training for youths and artisans to prepare them for long sustainable wealth.
Salako-Oyedele who disclosed this during the Fourth edition of the Young Leaders Entrepreneurship Conference held virtually saying Ogun State is fast becoming the industrial capital of the nation and the governments is doing lot of empowerment programme to meaningfully engage the youths.
The elated Deputy Governor said it is always a pleasure to support and encourage the youths which has made His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun,Ogun State Governor to appoint under 40 youths to be part of his cabinet.
Salako-Oyedele who listed the giant stride of Ogun State with Techhub, training and certification of artisans for a period of six month as well as other various industrial training.
The Conference with theme Youth Development and Entrepreneurship in 2020: Implications for National Development Information in the 21st Century, a connecting tool for entrepreneurs’ in industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG goal 9) had other speakers like Jide Awobona, Toyin Alausa, Gbenga Omotosho and fire side session with Chidi Nwaogu,a developer and Dr. Johnson Babajide,Medical Doctor and Entrepreneur.
The Convener, Tosin Adesile who explained that the beginning of Nigeria’s greatest challenge to Unemployment as a mistake committed by our fore fathers saying all hands needs to be on decks to support the government in ensuring that the country is get over the problem of unemployment be-deviling the nation through skills acquisition.
Adesile said his organization “Yolechub”, an entrepreneurship hub, was established to fill the vacuum and help entrepreneurs get updated knowledge to run their business without fair or favour.
