Four Suspects Arrested Over Missing Of NYSC Member In Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection to the missing of a member of National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in the state.

Sparklight News recalls that a corps member, identified as Yahya Faruq, was declared missing in Rivers State.

Faruq, who serves at Mixed Secondary School, Ikuru Town, Adoni Local Government of Rivers State, was last seen on Monday, October 14, 2024, after reporting for his shift at his part-time workplace, LDM Chinese Milling Company in Ikuru Town.

It was gathered that the corps member signed in for work at the Chinese company, but never signed out, leaving behind his belongings, including his bag and phone.

Family and friends are seeking useful information over his ‘sudden and mysterious disappearance’.

When contacted on Saturday night, the Rivers State Police spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

She added that four persons have been arrested, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.

“The command is aware of the incident. Four persons have been arrested, and the case has been transferred to SCID for discreet investigation, please,” Iringe-Koko told Sparklight News.
