A notorious terror gang leader, Abubakar Idris and his accomplices in the gruesome murder of one Ibrahim Danfulani over marriage dispute have been arrested.
Joseph Adeh, FCT Police public relations officer said the gang leader was arrested along with Buhari Saidu and Musa Ahmadu Suleiman by police operatives in collaboration with residents of the Agaita community in Karu.
Adeh said the incident happened in November, 2024, following Abubakar Idris’s frustration over Ibrahim Danlami’s intentions to marry a woman he had heavily invested in financially.
Investigation revealed that the gang also stole 18 cows belonging to the victim as compensation for Abubakar Idris’s perceived losses.
Abubakar Idris, who had fled the scene of the crime, was trailed and arrested in Nasarawa State while planning on recruiting new gang members to execute his sinister plot to return and kill the woman.
