The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it is constructing a new 330kV turn-in turn-Out transmission line at Ihovbor Work Centre, involving the stringing of the Ihovbor–Ajaokuta transmission line.

TCN, in a statement, states that the project will enhance its capacity to evacuate more power from the Azura Power Plant and the NIPP Power Plant to transmission substations across the national grid.
It will also improve transmission channels, provide additional capacity, and strengthen the reliability of bulk power supply.
Upon completion, the two lines will enhance the capacity of the Ihovbor transmission substation.
