The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has assured the public of the continued stability of Union Bank of Nigeria following a Federal High Court judgment delivered on Wednesday.

The assurance was contained in a statement issued by the Acting Director of Corporate Communications at the apex bank, Hakama Sidi.
According to the CBN, it is currently obtaining the Certified True Copy of the judgment for a detailed review, while reaffirming its commitment to upholding the rule of law.
The bank stressed that the status of Union Bank remains unchanged and that it is fully capable of meeting its obligations to customers, depositors, and other stakeholders.
It further assured that it would continue to provide necessary regulatory oversight to ensure that the bank operates in a safe, sound, and stable manner.
The apex bank added that it remains committed to maintaining public confidence in Nigeria’s financial system.
