The Police Service Commission, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, has scheduled April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables under both General Duty and Specialist categories.

The examination will be conducted at designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. In Lagos State, the exercise will take place at the Police College Ikeja.
According to the Commission, only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate. Qualified applicants are required to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their test date, time, and venue.
Candidates are expected to come along with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission with a clear photograph, and the printed Examination Invitation Card. The approved dress code is white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas.
The Police Service Commission reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned applicants against engaging in any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement, stressing that violators will face legal consequences.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Tijani Fatai, urged candidates in Lagos to strictly adhere to the guidelines, arrive early at the venue, and maintain orderly conduct throughout the exercise.
