ACCORD Party Rejects Federal High Court Judgement On De-registration

The national leadership of Accord has rejected the Federal High Court judgement on the de-registration of five political parties, including Accord, Describing it as a violation of the subsisting Court of Appeal order staying proceedings.

The party stated that the ruling was delivered despite the existing appellate court order and announced that its legal team has begun steps to challenge and overturn the judgement.

Accord further maintained that it is not affected by the suit, citing its electoral victories in councillorship elections in Jigawa State as meeting constitutional and electoral requirements.
The party assured members, candidates, and supporters that Accord will participate in the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections and the 2027 general elections, while preparations for upcoming campaigns will continue as planned.
Accord reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law, multiparty democracy, and constitutional governance in Nigeria.
