The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mop-Up Exercise conducted for eligible candidates across the country.

The Board announced that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through its approved result-checking channels.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the examination body said the release of the results marks the successful conclusion of the 2026 UTME exercise and its subsequent mop-up examination.
According to the Board, the next phase of the admission process will commence immediately with the ranking of candidates based on their performance in the examination.
JAMB further disclosed that the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the end of the week, paving the way for tertiary institutions to proceed with admission-related activities for the 2026 academic session.
The Board expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the conduct of the main UTME and the mop-up exercise.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend,” the statement noted.
JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of the nation’s tertiary admission process while ensuring that all eligible candidates are fairly considered for admission into higher institutions across the country.
The 2026 UTME mop-up examination was organised to provide another opportunity for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination or whose cases required further consideration by the Board.
