The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially kicked off its 2027 Presidential and National Assembly campaigns in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The party urged voters to remain vigilant after casting their ballots and stay at polling units to ensure their votes are properly counted, transmitted and followed through to the collation centres.

Ladi Adebutu, PDP governorship candidate and Chairman of the Campaign Committee, at the flag-off, expressed optimism that better days were ahead for Nigerians.

Adebutu urged PDP supporters to remain committed and resist intimidation, saying the party would work to banish poverty.
The party’s senatorial candidate, Iyabo Obasanjo, said she returned to the PDP to restore Ogun Central Senatorial District to its former glory.
Meanwhile, his running mate, Lateefat Sowunmi-Kolapo, also called on voters to stand by their votes and exercise their franchise without fear.

Thousands of PDP supporters and indigenes also took to the streets across the three Federal Constituencies in Ogun Central, pledging their support and votes for the party in January.
