The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates offered admission from 2021 to date to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers to September 30, 2026, to regularize their admission status.
In a statement by Fabian Benjamin, Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, on Saturday, JAMB said the extension was granted to give candidates with pending offers a final opportunity to take the necessary action.
The Board advised candidates whose regular or Centralised University and Institution Admission, CUIIA, offers remain pending to accept or reject them before the new deadline.
It added that Candidates who accept their offers should print their admission letters, while rejected offers will revert to Not Admitted status.
JAMB also clarified that candidates who are no longer in the institution where they were offered admission, or are pursuing a different programme, could accept the outstanding offer and subsequently apply for correction or deletion where applicable.
Candidates already pursuing a second degree could also reject previous outstanding offers and continue with their current programme.
The Board further assured candidates admitted in the 2026 exercise that rejecting a previous outstanding offer will not affect their current admission.
JAMB warned that there will be no further extension, adding that all outstanding offers not accepted or rejected by September 30 will automatically revert to Not Admitted status.
