The federal government is projecting robust investment in renewable energy in 2026 so as to consolidate on the milestones recorded and increase access to clean and reliable power supply in the country.

Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi in a statement acknowledges the support of President Bola Tinubu in accelerating the implementation of energy reforms which has catalysed investment in the renewable energy sub sector thereby positioning Nigeria strategically as the renewable energy hub of Africa.
He says the federal government is committed to tackle challenges of power supply with renewable energy identified and adopted as an alternative source of supply especially for unserved and underserved communities
With the Energy Commission of Nigeria as the implementing agency for the renewed hope solarization programme and other interventions to achieve energy efficiency, the DG restates the commitment of ECN to unlock opportunities in the renewable energy value chain for job creation, sustainable development and improved energy access for all Nigerians
The DG of the Energy Commission of Nigeria assures that more communities have been mapped out for solar connection
