Oluwadamilola Fatimat Agbaje, a serving corps member in Lagos who recently graduated from Elizade University faculty of law with distinction in 2023 is dead.

She died in a controversial manner as friends claimed she committed suicide over night.

The news was broken by her brother, who took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to disclose the news. According to him, she passed away suddenly on the 11th of June.
He said: “We received the heartbreaking news that my sister, @deelish passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, 11th June 2025. She was truly a star and was full of joy, warmth and light. More than a sister, she was like a daughter, given the significant age gap. We had so many hopes and dreams for the future together. While we are devastated, we take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place. We continue to lean on God for strength and peace in this difficult time. Thank you to everyone who has reached out or kept us in your thoughts, it means more than words can convey”
A source who claimed anonymity also said she had been posting about death on her X page with handle @deelish or GenZ honourable wrote:
Death will not change our number. Our number remains the same!
She died few weeks after the post.
In a release by the former Governor of Ekiti, Dr Kayode Fayemi posted on his facebook page wrote:
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Oluwadamilola Fatimat Agbaje, a truly brilliant and inspiring young woman. I remember her vividly as one of the winners of the inaugural JKF Essay Competition at just 16 years old. That moment marked the beginning of what became a remarkable journey of excellence and service.
Oluwadamilola embodied the very ideals we hoped to celebrate through that competition: intellect, courage, purpose, and vision. Her achievements as a top law graduate, debater, youth leader, and advocate were extraordinary. She represented the very best of Ekiti’s promise.
Her loss is a painful one, but her legacy will continue to inspire many. My thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who were touched by her light.”
