How We Overwhelmed Oriire Kidnappers, Rescue Victims – Army

Major General Chinedu Nnebeife, General Officer Commanding, GOC, 2 Division, Nigerian Army, at the Government House, Ibadan, Oyo State, narrated how the military and allied security operatives overwhelmed Oriire LGA kidnappers and rescued the kidnapped pupils and teachers from captivity of the kidnappers in the forest.

Major General Chinedu Nnebeife, who led the security team, highlighted that the rescue operation focused on identifying and dismantling the terrorists’ network, cutting off their logistics and informants, and blocking their major supply routes, which eventually forced the kidnappers to release the victims unconditionally.

‎‎Major General Nnebeife commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, and all participating security agencies for their unwavering support. He asserted that the successful rescue was a product of coordinated intelligence, sustained military pressure, and inter-agency collaboration.
