Navy FOB Deactivates 6 illegal Refining Sites in Delta

The efforts of boosting Nigeria’s daily oil production has yielded the desired result with the deactivation of six illegal refining sites by operatives of the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base Escravos in the Delta community of Obodo-Omadino, in Warri South West local government area of the state.

The operation which was said to have started on the second of October through actionable intelligence, led to the dismantling of the six illegal refining sites containing over twenty five thousand liters of stolen crude oil.

Dug out pits as well as Polythene sacks used for storing products were also seized by the Navy personnel, while pumping machines used for syphoning products were discovered and seized from where they were hidden in the creeks.

The achievements of the ongoing operation Delta sanity under the Commanding Officer of the FOB Escravos Navy Captain Ikenna Okoloagu, is said to have been made possible through credible intelligence and alignment under the Strategic Directives of the Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla which emphasizes on sustained pressure on economic saboteurs.
