The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed a temporary disruption of traffic along the Abeokuta Expressway following an altercation between community members and trailer drivers at the Bara area near the Sagamu Interchange.
In a traffic update issued on the incident, the Command said the clash led to a blockage of the road, causing delays for motorists and other road users.
The Commissioner of Police subsequently directed the Area Commander, Owode Egba, along with Divisional Police Officers in the area, to immediately intervene and restore order.
Police authorities disclosed that clearance operations were ongoing, with efforts already yielding results as traffic flow was gradually being restored.
The Command assured members of the public of its commitment to maintaining safety and ensuring free movement across major routes in the state, while urging motorists to remain calm and cooperate with officers on ground.
