Kaduna State Police Command have arrested six suspected kidnappers in separate operations and recovered a cache of firearms, including AK-47 rifles, from their hideouts in Jema’a Local Government Area and in transit to Zamfara State.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the arrests followed a report made on February 22, 2025, by a resident of Ungwan Ninzom, Jagindi Tasha village in Jema’a LGA. The resident reported that gunmen had invaded his home and abducted his son, identified as Hussaini Ibrahim.
A follow-up operation on February 24 led to the successful rescue of the victim from a nearby bush, saying he was found with a gunshot wound on his leg, inflicted by the abductors. Police said the victim received prompt medical attention and has since been reunited with his family.
