The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced the commencement of activities for the 2026 National Police Day celebrations, themed “Community Partnership: Building Trust.”

The announcement followed a press briefing held on March 23, 2026, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, spoke on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

According to the NPF, the week-long celebration will begin on Monday, March 30, 2026, and conclude with a grand finale on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

To coordinate the event, an organising committee has been set up, chaired by AIG Akoh Benedict Gabriel, while the Force PRO serves as secretary. The committee comprises senior officers drawn from key departments, including the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Police Mobile Force (PMF), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD-CBRN), and Medical Services.
