NAFDAC has uncovered a fake healthcare operation at the Community Town Hall in Abuloma, Port Harcourt, where individuals posing as missionaries were administering unregistered drugs and products to unsuspecting residents under the guise of free medical evangelism.

Acting on a public tip-off, NAFDAC officials discovered that the fake practitioners were distributing products such as “Evangelist Jenkins Supernatural Water,” “Evangelist Jenkins Eye Drops,” and other unregistered items falsely claimed to treat conditions like cancer, fibroids, glaucoma, and arthritis.
Reports revealed that some users suffered adverse effects, including swollen eyes, which the fake operator falsely described as signs of healing. During the raid led by the Rivers State Coordinator, Pharm. Emmanuel Onogwu, a woman identified as Mrs. Gladies Theophilus was arrested, while the main suspect fled and remains at large.
NAFDAC has evacuated the counterfeit products to its zonal office and launched a full investigation. The Agency urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious healthcare activities, reaffirming zero-tolerance stance on fake and unregistered medical products in Nigeria.
