A gas explosion has rocked Alayabiagba market in Lagos razing down several shops and destroying yet to be estimated goods and wares.
It was discovered that the explosion emanated from a gas retailer’s shop where cylinders of various sizes were stored as a result of gas leakage from one of the cylinders before spreading to other shops in the market.
Among the things razed by the fire were, two gas retailer’s outlets, 9 clothing shops, phones and accessories shops and Properties worth hundreds of millions of naira.
With the prompt response of responders, like LASEMA, LNSC. LASAMBUS and the Nigeria police, the fire was and prevented from spreading to adjoining buildings.
