Popular celebrity knows as Mr. Macaroni, Debo Adebayo and other protesters kept vigil at the entrance of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikeja to register their displeasure against extortion and brutality by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad(FSARS).
The Police in an attempt to disperse the protestors took off the light and dismantled their tent and made a way with it.
The Sparklight learnt the Speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa who later visited and addressed the protesters and appealled for calm adding that their right as demonstrators that their right will not tampered with.
The development later led to the switching on of the light which was earlier disconnected.
The Speaker who received their petition promised to discuss the issue of FSARS the following day and see possible way of ending the menace.
As at the time of filing the report, 15 representatives of the protesters had been called for a meeting to address their concerns.
