Police Arrest Two For Cultism, Unlawful Possession Of Firearm In Lagos

‎In realization of the resolution of the Nigeria police Lagos state command to combat cultism and every social vices in the state, the command has recorded a break through by arresting two of the notorious cultists terrorising the people of the state.



‎On July 11, 2025, upon credible intelligence, operatives of the Command swung into action and arrested one Rilwan Shittu ‘m’ aged 34, and one Babatunde Femi ‘m’ aged 35 in possession of one semiautomatic pistol in Alaba-Rago area.

‎Prelimimary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a cult group and are currently assisting the Police with useful information to apprehend other members of their cult group and recover more weapons.

‎The Lagos state commissioner of police, Olohundare Jimoh reaffirmed the commitment of the state police command at ridding the state of criminalities and ensuring safety of lives and properties in and around Lagos state.
