Retired Justice Baba Gana Ashigar, A Federal High Court, Judge, has died in Maiduguri, Borno State, after a brief illness.
Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, Director of Information of the Federal High Court, in a statement indicated that His Lordship passed on in Maiduguri, Borno State, and has since been laid to rest on the 26th of July, 2026, in accordance with Islamic rites.
According to the FHC, Justice Ashigar, rtd, was a jurist who served with diligence, dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.
John Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Judges, Management, and Staff of the Federal High Court extended their heartfelt condolences to the immediate family and prayed that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
