Kogi APC Chairman Dies After Collapsing at Party Reconciliation Meeting

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of its chairman, Oyewole Mayowa Solomon.

Solomon reportedly collapsed during a party reconciliation meeting held in the area on Friday as APC stakeholders gathered to promote unity within the party.

The meeting was convened by one of his predecessors, Funsho Olumoko, as part of efforts to reconcile party members and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders.

According to reports, Solomon suddenly fell ill and collapsed while the meeting was in progress, causing panic among participants.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Kabba for medical attention but reportedly died shortly after arriving at the facility.

The sudden incident left party members and other participants in shock, as Solomon had been actively involved in the reconciliation efforts before his death.

As of the time of filing the report, the cause of his death had not been officially confirmed.
