Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has approved the appointment of members of the Ondo State Sports Council as part of efforts to reposition sports development and strengthen grassroots participation in the state.
The newly appointed members are Oladimeji Abimbola, Chairman; Babatunde Martins Boriwa, Member; and Ibiloye Matthew Abiodun, Member.
The appointments take immediate effect.
Governor Aiyedatiwa charged the new members to bring their experience and expertise to bear in promoting sports development, encouraging grassroots participation and fostering sporting excellence across Ondo State.
The Governor expressed confidence that the new council members would contribute meaningfully to the growth of sports and the discovery and development of sporting talents in the state.
