Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has urged politicians to accept the outcome of elections in good faith, warning against treating the electoral process as a do-or-die affair.

Mohammed made the call on Saturday after casting his vote at Polling Unit 008, Bakin Dutse, located at Yelwan Duguri Model Primary School in Duguri District, Alkaleri Local Government Area, during the ongoing local government elections in the state.
The governor said he was impressed by the smooth conduct of the voting process and the turnout of voters across the area.
He particularly commended the participation of women, describing their large turnout as encouraging and a demonstration of their commitment to exercising their constitutional rights.
“Elections are not a do-or-die affair. Our topmost concern should always be ensuring lasting peace, safety, and overall progress in Bauchi State,” he said.
Mohammed said his administration remained committed to strengthening democracy at the grassroots and ensuring that all participants in the electoral process operate within the provisions of the law.
He also commended election officials for their preparedness and praised voters for demonstrating maturity, discipline and a strong sense of civic responsibility during the exercise.
