Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and another hostage have been rescued from kidnappers in Imo State following an intelligence-led operation by security agencies.

The victims were rescued by a joint team comprising the military, Department of State Services (DSS), police and other security formations operating in the South-East state.
The operation, which was driven by intelligence gathering, resulted in the safe recovery of the 21 victims from their abductors.
Following their rescue, the victims were taken to a DSS facility, where they are currently receiving medical attention and undergoing monitoring.
The successful operation underscores ongoing efforts by security agencies to dismantle kidnapping networks and safeguard residents and travellers across the country.
