FG Begins Evacuation of 300 Trapped Power Infrastructure Containers

By Ikugbadi Oluwasegun

The Nigeria Customs Service says it has officially commenced the evacuation of three hundred power infrastructure containers stranded at the Lagos ports for up to twenty years, in a major boost to the nation’s electricity grid.

The emergency clearance follows a direct order from President Bola Tinubu to resolve administrative bottlenecks and clear all accumulated charges.

Joel Popoola reports that the Minister of Power and Customs Controller General were on the ground to supervise the implementation.

Combating threats to business continuity, including a volatile security environment, has become imperative, requiring comprehensive, more proactive, and resilient security framework.
