Tinubu to Visit Akwa Ibom, Rivers for Project Commissioning, APC Rallies

President Bola Tinubu will on Friday depart Abuja for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers, where he is expected to commission projects and participate in political rallies.

The President will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to commission projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day across the state to enable residents to welcome the President.

Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.

Tinubu will also commission the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

Other projects lined up for commissioning include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will leave Uyo for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.

The rally will mark the President’s third political outing since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

The statement added that the visits would provide opportunities for Tinubu to engage with political stakeholders, party members and supporters while emphasising unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national progress.
