AbidingTV Initiatives Launches 7th Edition of “Operation Feed The Widows” to Uplift Indigent Seniors

By Press Release

AbidingTV Initiatives proudly announces the 7th edition of its annual outreach program, Operation Feed The Widows, a compassionate campaign aimed at supporting aged widows and widowers in the Ibadan community. This year’s event continues the legacy of care and empowerment that began in 2018 with just 30 beneficiaries and has since grown to serve hundreds each year.

Founded by Arinola Olakanmi Yinka, the initiative was inspired by the late Deaconess Bukola Olafisan, whose encouragement helped transform a modest act of kindness into a city-wide movement. The program now reaches up to 1,000 beneficiaries annually, offering food supplies, emotional support, and a sense of community to those often overlooked

“We believe in restoring dignity and hope to our elders. This initiative is not just about food—it’s about love, remembrance, and belonging,” said Arinola Olakanmi Yinka, CEO of AbidingTV Initiatives.

The 7th edition will be held at UMC Primary School, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Oke Ado Ibadan on 1st Nov 2025, featuring: Distribution of food packages and essentials; Musical performances and community engagement; Health checks and wellness support; Special tributes to past contributors and beneficiaries

AbidingTV Initiatives invites volunteers, donors, and media partners to join in amplifying the impact of this heartfelt mission. More information about our activities are on our website https://initiatives.abidingtv.com
