President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the Nigeria Energy Acceleration Program and inaugurated the National Energy Masterplan Implementation Committee (NEMIC), signaling a bold step toward achieving universal energy access. The initiative will operationalize the National Energy Fund, targeting $50 billion over ten years to attract public and private investments into solar, wind, hydro, and other clean energy infrastructure.

The Federal Government pledged full policy support to NEMIC, emphasizing that the program is designed to deliver real impact for communities, industries, and households by providing reliable, affordable, and climate-friendly energy. Development partners and private stakeholders also pledged collaboration, positioning Nigeria as a future leader in clean energy development across Africa.
