The Zamfara State Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies, has arrested 48 suspects during a joint show of force and raids on criminal hideouts in Gusau metropolis.
In a statement, DSP Yazid Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer in the State, says the intelligence-led operation also led to the recovery of 17 motorcycles, three bicycles, one generator, three speakers and three drums suspected to have been abandoned by criminal elements.
He adds that the suspects are under investigation, and those found culpable will be prosecuted.
The statement notes that Ahmad Muhammad Bello, State Commissioner of Police, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
