President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for a two-week, three-nation visit to France, Kenya and Rwanda.

The trip was disclosed by Bayo Onanuga, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, who said the President’s first stop will be France before proceeding to Nairobi to attend the Africa-France Summit scheduled for next week.
The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues such as energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms to the global financial system.
Tinubu is expected to participate in the summit from May 11 to May 12, where he will highlight Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with African countries and France. The event, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will bring together leaders to discuss economic transformation, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, technological advancement and peace-building.
Following the Kenya engagement, the President will travel to Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum, scheduled for May 14 to May 15.
The forum, held in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, is expected to convene over 2,000 business leaders, investors and policymakers. This year’s edition, themed “Scale or Fail,” will focus on accelerating economic growth through regional integration, industrial expansion and cross-border investments.
At both summits, Tinubu is expected to present his administration’s economic reforms aimed at positioning Nigeria as an attractive destination for investment, while also holding high-level meetings with global and African business leaders.
The President will be accompanied by senior government officials, including ministers and aides, and is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding the Rwanda leg of the trip.
