The Nigeria Police Force says its subsequent intelligence and field operations have now confirmed the abduction of some residents in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State but noted that tactical and intelligence units have been deployed across Kajuru and surrounding communities.

The force statement assures the residents that their safety remains a top priority as the Police has swiftly responded by activating coordinated security measures with sister agencies to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims.
In that statement, the Force had acknowledged the dismissal of earlier reports on the Kajuru abduction due to the fear it created and had reaffirmed its commitment that no criminal act would go unanswered.
The police statement followed a reviewed report of the Kaduna State Security Council meeting held at the Government House Kaduna, where initial conflicting accounts from locals caused brief uncertainties. Police authorities clarified that the Commissioner of Police’s early comments were intended to prevent panic while facts were being verified — not to dismiss the incident.
The deployment of the tactical and intelligence units is based on the directives of the Inspection-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. The Force urges the public to remain calm, rely on official information, and avoid speculation as operations continue to restore peace and security.
