UNILAG, LASU Set to Co-host 11th FASU Games in Lagos

The 11th Federation of African University Sports (FASU) Games, tagged “Lagos 2024″ is a continental event.

The event, scheduled from September 20-29, 2024, marks a historic milestone as the first-ever joint hosting of the Games by two institutions: University of Lagos UNILAG and Lagos State University (LASU).

Lagos prepares to welcome athletes from potentially all 43 FASU member countries, the 11th FASU Games promises to be a celebration of African unity, youth potential, and sporting excellence.

FASU Games, a prestigious continental collegiate sports event, will bring together over 1,500 athletes and officials from universities across Africa.Participants will compete in 17 sports, including athletics, football, basketball, and swimming, among others.

The opening ceremony is exactly a week from today which is at the University of Lagos on September 21 and the closing ceremony at Lagos State University on September 28.
