President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers into his cabinet.
The appointee are Ambassador Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu, widow of the late Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; and Jumoke Oduwole, ex-Executive Secretary to the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Others include Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu MaigariDingyadi, Minister of Labour & Employment; Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Ministry of Livestock Development; Rt.Hon.Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development; Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Minister of StateEducation.
Similarly, Sunday Dare, former Minister of Sports, has been named Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation.
The president charged the newly appointed cabinet members to see their appointments as a call to serve the nation.
He added that all appointees must understand the administration’s eagerness and determination to set Nigeria on the path to irreversible growth and invest the best of their abilities into the actualisation of the government’s priorities.
